Reflecting on My Heart Pour Workshop: Art, Faith, and Healing Together

Last weekend, something sacred happened in Las Vegas.
I had the honor of guiding a room full of bold, faith-filled women through a Heart Pour session—and whew, was it powerful. This wasn’t just a painting class. It was a moment. A movement. A mirror.

We gathered not all knowing each other, but ready to come into a deeper understanding of ourselves, each woman coming with her own story—some heavy, some healing, all holy. As the paint began to flow, so did the conversations, the prayers, the breakthroughs.
We used color as a language. Not the kind you learn in textbooks—but the kind your soul already knows.
Before we even picked up the paint, I walked them through the spiritual and psychological meanings behind colors. Not just “red is bold” and “blue is calm”—but what these colors represent when filtered through both Scripture and lived experience. For example, red became strength, but also the bloodline of love. Yellow reminded us of joy and God’s promise of new mercies. And blue… blue became the breath of peace that so many of us didn’t even realize we were holding out for.
What made it even more beautiful? No two canvases looked alike. Each woman checked in with her present self—mind, body, and spirit—and let that be her guide. It wasn’t about perfection. It was about presence. Healing happened in real time.

As the paintings dried, we shifted into poetry. And let me tell you—if you’ve never witnessed a group of women pouring their hearts out in color and then translating that into verse… whew, it’s something you don’t forget. Some wrote about grief. Others wrote about growth. One woman shared how blue reminded her of the stillness she craved in a chaotic season. Another painted green for restoration and then wrote a poem that felt like a prayer she’d been needing to say out loud for years. We ended sharing, reading our words to one another, and speaking life over what had just come up. It didn’t feel like a workshop—it felt like revival.

And THIS is why I do this. Because when women feel safe to be seen and supported—healing becomes inevitable. Because art speaks when words fall short. Because faith and creativity aren’t separate—they’re sacred partners.
The feedback melted my heart. Some women said they hadn’t painted since childhood but felt like they found a part of themselves they didn’t know was missing. Others said they did not realize God could speak to them through art. And that right there? That’s the Heart Pour difference.
This isn’t just about paint and poetry—it’s a path. And I truly believe more women deserve access to spaces like this, where emotional, spiritual, and creative wellness collide in the most interesting ways.
If your spirit is tugging at this—if something inside you is saying, “I need that…”—you’re not alone. I’ve opened up my online space so you don’t have to wait for the next in-person session, and so you can join in from anywhere in the world. Inside the membership, we’re building community, creating with purpose, and healing together—one painting, one verse, one heart pour at a time.
You’re invited. Not just to join—but to show up fully. As you are. No mask. No pressure. Just you and your story, ready to be seen.
Drop a comment below if you’ve ever had a moment like this—or if you’re curious about what this kind of creative healing could unlock in you.
Let’s keep pouring.
