Welcome to the Heart Pour Community: A Space for Self-Love and Healing through Art.

Welcome to the first blog post of the Heart Pour Community a space where we embrace love, healing, and abundant living! However you came across this page, intentionally or by chance, I'm glad you're here!

Who am I?

I'm an artist, educator, remarried divorcee, community organizer, and a passionate advocate for creative expression. Think of me as your rich auntie (speaking it into existence HA!) and your internet bestie looking to help you heal the block that weigh on your heart.

Why Start A Blog?

When I talked to a close friend about starting this blog, her words were "I can't believe you don't have a blog already." Starting anything where you desire to build community can bring up all kinds of negative self talk.

If you’ve ever struggled with low self-esteem, fear of rejection, or the feeling of being “not enough,” you’re not alone. In this space, we honor those feelings, but we don’t let them hold us back.

Healing and Choosing Love

I have survived my share of traumas - enough to validate my reasons to be secluded and closed off from the world, but I instead I choose love by the grace of God. My hope is that this blog becomes a little corner of the internet where we resist negativity, plant seeds of acceptance and self-love, and grow gardens of abundant living together.

Life is too short to dwell on what makes you a little scared. "There is no fear in love; but perfect love drives out fear."1 John 4:18

Facing Fear and Embracing Abundance

Life is too short to let fear hold you back. You can spend years wondering, What if?, or you can love yourself enough to chase your dreams. I’ve spent too much time worrying about pleasing everyone else and making excuses for not pursuing what I truly wanted. If that sounds like you—a high achiever with amazing ideas but a tendency to get in your own way (come through sis) —this is your sign to make a change!

What's Holding You Back?

Ask yourself:

  • What dreams have you put on hold for others?

  • How often do you let negative self-talk stop you from trying something new?

The truth is, living an abundant life is possible for all of us. It starts with loving yourself enough to take that first step toward your dreams. Choose love. Choose abundance. Choose YOU.
